Theatre Addict: Big Issue

Callum Forbes is a writer and actor who graduated from Edge Hill University not once but twice with a First Class Honours Degree in Drama in 2015 and an MA in Making Performance in 2017. Fresh from graduating callum joined the multiple award winning Liverpool theatre company Naughty Corner Productions going on to perform for them in none other than seven shows up and down the UK. Two of which he wrote himself ‘The British Idles’ and ‘The Muckers’ which both performed to rave reviews at the Unity Theatre and Edinburgh fringe.

‘Big Issue is the first play Ive put out there since The Muckers in 2018 and has been stewing in the mind for some time. Just walking through Liverpool city centre these days is enough to see how much of a struggle it is for under represented people in society. This piece is giving them a voice while adding the usual comedic/dramatic juxtaposition.’
