When this is all over...
During the past couple of weeks, some of us have had plenty of time on our hands. It’s a strange new world that we are currently embracing. We are missing our weekly meetings that Likeminded has at Patterson’s, slugging on a few pints at the Arts Bar and chatting theatre to the creatives that inhabit that space. Myself and the team have missed the regular features that quantify our creative existence. It would be easy for us to focus on the loss, but we’re not going to do that. We are going to utilise this time of stillness, to be be present in the moment. Like so many of our creative friends are doing, we will be working on new material and improving as a whole.
When this is all over, you will see a massive fluctuation of fantastic work from the Liverpool theatre scene which we will certainly be adding to. You will see so many creatives push the boundaries in new ways of creativity which we can’t wait to support and to be part of. The greatest comeback ever!
In what we are all facing truly shows how ‘important’ the arts are. We hope when this is all over, it’s appreciated more. Most probably this time of stillness has inspired new creatives to have a go at putting something on, which the team and myself always encourage. It will be amazing to see.
When the world returns to a state that we know and love, we look forward to journeying with you through our new works, introducing you to the new partnerships that we have formed as a result of the opportunity this time of reflection has offered us.
Be safe lovely people, thank you for listening and we look forward to working with & supporting you all!
