The Mix Up is Back: 11Th April

The Mix Up is coming!! If you're into acting, writing, directing, or anything creative, you're in for a treat with The Mix Up. It's the event that brings our city's talent together for a night filled with live music, free food, amazing guest speakers, free prize giveaways, and a whole lot of mingling. This is your chance to rub elbows with fellow creatives in your field and get an insight on what makes them tick. You know the score in our line of work - your network is gold!The Mix Up is your opportunity to growing that network. You'll meet creatives alike and maybe even find your next big project, like I did last year.

The Mix up is the official Launch party for The uproar Festival.

Uproar Festival will host a three-week long display of Liverpool John Moores University’s Drama departments talents and passion projects. There really is something for everyone across the event, whether it’s a gritty drama or a musical sing-a-long you’re after, Uproar Festival have made sure everyone is catered for.

The festival will include 16 main house shows, ranging from comedies which will make you laugh your head off, all the way to dramatic performances which will hopefully really hit home to the audience.

All of these shows have been written, directed or devised by the third year students involved in creating the festival.

Also taking place concurrently with the Uproar Festival, will be the ‘Uproar Fringe’ which will see a collection of between 15 and 20 minute shows.

‘ We are extremely excited to be working with Creative Wire to launch Uproar. We decided to make this event the launch of our festival because we really want to bring everyone together and we think this event will do just that! It's a celebration and a chance to bring our students together with industry professionals. And hosting the event in Arts Bar is perfect since it is a hub of creativity!’ - Saffron Gotch, Production Manager.

We've already thrown four successful mixers in the past, and this one's going be the best one yet. next week we will be releasing our guest speakers who will be joining us and also our fancy Mix Up Pack filled with all the information you need!
