The Moondogs: The Documentary

You are all in for a treat as The Moondogs celebrate their first anniversary. The team behind this lively, unexpected take on the Beatles early years have announced the release of a special two-part documentary delving into their extraordinary journey to bring it to the stage.

This not to be missed documentary is available on all platforms now. We promise an in-depth exploration of the musical; from writer and creator Ashley Ali’s vision to its stage Premier in July of last year. It guarantees rare footage, interviews, behind-the-scenes glimpses of The Moondogs in rehearsals, and unforgettable moments that have shaped this totally different Beatles play.

One of the burning questions on everyone's lips since the 2022 performances is whether The Moondogs will make a triumphant return to the stage. Rumors have been rife for a while that award-winning actor and director, Andrew Games, who played the part of Brian Epstein in the original version, will not only play that role again but also direct in a reprisal. For an answer we will speak with Ashley Ali, about his thoughts on what he has accomplished so far, and what his plans are for the future.

The Moondogs undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the theatre scene as it was a unique play that captured everyone’s imagination, and this two-parter aims to celebrate the hard work from everyone involved while, hopefully, leaving you eager for more.
